Can I use Greek yogurt to make Indian Cucumber Raita Recipe?
I would recommend using regular yogurt not Greek yogurt. Using Greek yogurt would make it more like a tzatziki sauce, because the Greek yogurt has a different texture.
What can I serve Raita with?
Raita makes a great side for curries, rice, naan bread, and meat or vegetable dishes. It is very versatile which makes it a go-to dish.
How do I prepare my veggies for this dish?
There are lots of ways to prepare the onions and cucumbers for this raita. One of the ways would be to dice the onion and cucumber making them small and easy to eat. The way I like to make it, you just thinly slice the onion and cucumber into slices, and then slice those slices in half. Or another way would be to grate the cucumber and squeeze the water out of it before adding it to the yogurt.
