In this post, I will share with you 5 reasons I loved my Carnival Cruise. For more of my travel adventures check out Hong-Kong Blue House Cluster!
BUT! Back to my cruise! It was my first one ever and it was an amazing experience. I went with a group of 19, with ages from 5-60+. It was a 6 day cruise with stops in Cozumel, Mexico and the Grand Cayman Islands. The Carnival Vista was our ship for the week and it kept us busy! There was lots of stuff for the kids to do, so much food and always something new to see.
1. My Carnival Cruise Experience: Chef’s Table
Table of Contents
For a foodie such as myself, the Chef’s table was an incredible experience! It cost extra, but it was so worth it to get to try all the fancy foods that were created especially for us. It is a small party of 14 people, which makes it a more intimate experience. During the 8 course meal, between courses, you also get a tour of the galley to see chefs and bakers in action.

This meal starts out with some free champagne and “appetizers” unlike any I’d ever tried! Next, we were served duck, veal and lamb to name just a few of the many different courses. Through out the meal, you also got complimentary wine and a fancy fruit drink created by the chef.
The surf and turf rendition, pictured above, was a funny dish. I literally wasn’t expecting it at all! It was literally a sphere of lobster bisque (the surf) which you poured beef broth (the turf) over and whisked it together to create a surf and turf. It was a strange experience but actually the taste was surprisingly delicious.

And lastly came the desserts! These were especially fancy, with lots of different tastes to please your taste buds. There was chocolate, raspberry, cream and even flavors I’d never heard of that I got to try that night. Afterwards, I was very full and satisfied with my experience. I went with my friend and we will both go again on our next cruise.
2. Thrill Theatre!

This was definitely one of my favorite things to do while on board the Carnival Cruise. Sure, it was extra, but it was well worth it to get experience 4-D animation. For instance, there are fans blowing air, sprays of water and movements on your seat. You feel just like you’re right on that roller coaster on the screen in front of you! There were 3 shows to choose from, one was family friendly, one 18+ and the other was PG. I saw all 3 and loved them all!
3. Carnival Cruise: So many games!

Soccer pool, basketball, mini golf, bean bag toss, table soccer, I mean come on. It’s like game heaven. It keeps the kids entertained, and getting to score a 3-pointer with the ocean breeze in your hair and a moving ship beneath your feet, is a thrill in itself!

4. You can get pizza 24/7!
Enough said. I mean who can say no to pizza? I can never say no to pizza! Pizza for breakfast? Then Pizza for lunch? Maybe pizza for dinner? How about pizza at midnight? Or pizza at 2am? Or even pizza as a snack? Have you heard the word pizza enough? Literally, 24/7 pizza. Margherita and Pepperoni were my favourite, but there are other kinds to chose from, too.
5. You are never bored!
There is always something to do, so you should never say you are bored while cruising with Carnival. I loved the day excursions alot.
I enjoyed getting to explore pretty beaches. Snorkeling was so cool as I got to see kinds of fish I’d only ever seen in pictures, swimming just inches away from me! The water is so pretty and blue and the views were fantastic. I am ready to cruise again and try some things I didn’t get to experience on my first one. With so many different kinds of food to try, always games to play, so many shows, and did I mention lots of food, this is a great experience for all ages!
