- Cream cheese
- Sour Cream
- Parmesan Cheese
- Cheddar Cheese

First you mix the sour cream, cream cheese, salt, pepper and garlic together. Then you place the chicken in a glass baking dish. Spoon the cream mixture on top of the chicken. Lastly, sprinkle your cheddar and Parmesan on top of everything.
Can I use chicken thighs instead of chicken breasts?
I tried this recipe with chicken breasts and also experimented with chicken thighs. I liked it with the chicken breasts better, but you can’t go wrong with cheesy chicken so the thighs were good too.
How long do I cook Creamy Cheesy Chicken Recipe for?
You will need about 25-30 minutes to cook chicken breasts or thighs at 350 degrees F. Just make sure the internal temperature reads 165˚F with a thermometer.
Can I use mozzarella cheese instead of cheddar cheese?
You can experiment with cheeses, of course! I used cheddar and Parmesan. You could use mozzarella and cheddar or mozzarella and Parmesan. And if you’re feeling crazy, a mix of all 3. The cheesier the better! Right?

Creamy Cheesy Chicken Recipe
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, fresh or petals
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- 1-2 garlic cloves, minced
- Mix together cream cheese, sour cream, salt, pepper, and garlic.
- Lay chicken breasts on the bottom of a glass baking dish.
- Spoon a generous amount of the creamy mixture on top of each chicken breast.
- Sprinkle some cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes.
